Hello friends and family!
We are sitting just above the hustle and bustle of the Old City smack dab across from Damascus Gate.
Last night when we arrived we were immediately immersed once again into Arab culture, and I had to
smile as nothing has changed since I was last here! The smells are the same, the greetings are
the same (Hello... where you from?, You been here before, you want to buy this?, Taxi?), and the sounds
are the same. It is very familiar and makes my heart glad!
It is also very warm here! I didn't expect this, but it is around 80 degrees and the sun is shining
brightly in the sky. We arrived yesterday into Tel Aviv and got our car and drove to Jtown and it was
so beautiful to see all of the lush beauty of this land and to see everything beginning to take bloom
as Spring is in the air! This surely is one of the most beautiful countries I have seen!
As of right now my heart is postured before the Lord in the place of being moldable. There is more to explain in this, but to sum it up in a few words, I am at His leisure, and I will do what He wants no matter what this may cost or look like. I am in the place of prayer and waiting at the moment for His guidance and confirmation on a some things that were highlighted to me last night. The Lord's leadership does not always make sense to me..... oh goodness it does not!! Yet, in this I am learning that I absolutely CAN NOT lean on what I "know" or what I "think" is the right way or most practical way.
Today we are going to venture into the city to get Ems a cell phone and to take some time to pray
and seek Him in this place. Something that the Lord also emphasized to me was that even when
we have our quiet times with Him here we are combating the spirit of the age and the spirit that
is over this nation. When we, believers in Yeshua, are merely loving Him in this place it is going
to cause conflict.
I will keep you all posted on what is happening here, and I just want to say that I love you
and I appreciate your love and prayers toward me. I am surely a blessed one to call
each of you friend.
